Integrated Renewable Energy Analysis Station
Neither solar nor wind is available all the time, but together, wind and solar installations can harvest electricity more consistently. When the sun isn’t shining, the wind is usually blowing! The REAP’s Integrated Renewable Energy Analysis Station features four 250-W modules and a 400-W wind turbine, each working together to power a water pump that brings water up 480 feet from a well to tanks for livestock to drink. A battery backup system allows the pump to continue to run for three days without any wind or sun.
